This project explores the role of designers in specialized healthcare services. It presents a design concept for a psychiatric hospital focusing on how spatial design and interior architecture can contribute to reducing conflict levels in psychiatric institutions and enhancing patient safety. The project aims to create a spatial concept that enhances users’ quality of life, providing a framework for a community where mental health is prioritized—a safe space for engagement and independence. Another aim of this master’s project is to stimulate further thought and research into human-made environments that may potentially negatively impact mental health.
